Dear Yolo Community,
We hope you’ve been following along these last two weeks and are aware that Yolo Intel is growing up and out of Substack and over to our own new site. And if you have been following along, apologies for the doubling up on the reminders—this is the last day we will email you from Substack, and we just want to make sure that everyone sees this information!
But…ICYMI, here’s what’s happening…
Tomorrow, July 1, starting at around 11am EST, we’ll be moving over to our new website, yolojournal.com. During this time, our site will be “under construction.” Please note: YOU DON’T NEED TO DO ANYTHING BEFORE TUESDAY, JULY 2, WHEN YOUR ACCOUNT WILL HAVE BEEN MOVED AUTOMATICALLY. Please do not try to log in today to the new site. Your information won’t migrate until tomorrow.
What do you need to do then? Don’t worry, it’s easy!
If you are a paid subscriber, on Tuesday, July 2 just head to this page and enter the same email address from which you receive your Substack newsletters, which will trigger an email prompting you to set a new password. Your subscription and payment info will be carried over automatically to yolojournal.com, and once you set a new password, you will be good to go.
If you are a free subscriber, you will automatically be added to our website’s email list. You’ll continue to receive our weekly newsletters, and will have access to free Bric-a-Brac stories. If you are interested in exploring more of our archives and accessing paid posts like our Black Books, we are offering free subscribers a one-time code for $20 off of an annual paid subscription. Just use YOLOUPGRADE at checkout (valid through July 15).
This Saturday, July 6, our next Bric-a-Brac email—all things SPAIN!—will come not from Substack, but from newsletter@yolojournal.com. Please keep an eye out for it! It might wind up in spam—and if it does, please flag it as “not spam” so it can find its way to your primary inbox.
Of course, please message us at info@yolojournal.com if you are having any trouble with your account.
In the meantime, thank you for being here—we love our Yolo community! Wishing you all a wonderful summer and happy travels, and to our American readers a Happy Fourth!
xo Team YOLO
Finally! I was having to google ‘country + yolo intel’ and looking for the date the article was first published then going on here to scroll to said date. This is the right move - I’m so thrilled x
Interesting! I think moving off Substack was a big miss for ParentData but will be interested to see how it works here
