April Travel Diary
Athens, Aegina, Bordeaux, Evian-les-Bains, Geneva, London, Fiesole, and the Roman Coast
This was a big travel month. Several of you have asked me how I stay healthy when I’m on the road, and I have to admit this month almost broke me—or my back, that is. Sitting is terrible, as is not exercising, and when I do all these back-to-back work legs, I’m completely out of my routine. Never mind—I found a great osteopath in Évian-les-Bains, who fixed me right up! I always seek out an osteopath if I’m in pain while traveling—I’ll never forget the one who cured my shoulder at Lily of the Valley in France. And then I had an amazing acupuncturist outside of Athens at Cape Sounio. Being injured or in pain while traveling is not ideal, but I do think that if you persevere in finding a healer, you’ll connect to the place and the person who is helping you in a way that you wouldn’t if you were in perfect health. So if you find yourself in this situation, trust me: ask around, or tell us your favorites in all corners of the earth, and help us build up a Black Book of healers!

You have to plan them just enough, but not too much. If they are over-thought they can look too staged, which can read catalogue. And summer covers have to be shot either the summer/fall prior, or somewhere in spring that looks summery. This is how we landed on
