Dispatch From the Dodecanese
Some new finds—including two small and soulful new properties—from one of my favorite parts of the world
This summer I broke with my tradition of visiting Patmos in August with my dear friends. It was a tough decision to make–we love our group and our tradition, but given the nature of my job, it’s important to keep exploring new places. Just as we’d decided we were heading to Portugal in July, my friend Maria Lemos called me up to invite me to Pagostas, the guest house she and her husband Grigoris had just finished in Patmos. The timing worked perfectly with an invite to visit Halki Sea House, so we decided to scrap our Portugal plans and head to the Dodecanese. It was an epic trip–and I’m excited to share my discoveries with you!
