Just back from Israel and Jordan and must stay at Jaffa. Make the trek to Sabich Tchernikhovski for a Sabich (not to be missed) and gelato at Anita's! Forget the border crossing and fly to Amman. Have Jim at Destinations and Adventures https://www.daitravel.com/ organize your Petra visit, you MUST hike all the way out to the monastery, do not miss this!!! We had the BEST guide (we actually cried when we said goodbye) and stay at least one night in Wadi Rum at https://sahararum.com/ they only have 3 tents, the food and staff were amazing. Can't wait to go back to Jordan.

Hi! We will be in SF 4/5 days on July, with my teen girls, I’m already planning the trip and there’s so much to see, that it is difficult to choose! I think we will do SF in 2 days and then 1 day north to Muir Woods (is it worth it?) & maybe another day some beach around (north or south which one do you recommend? Thank youu!! (Yes I need that SF post :)

11th Hour Cafe in Santa Cruz is a favorite for a light lunch or late afternoon coffee.

Agree about Pescadero. Harley Farms Goat Dairy is a delightful place to stop for a light lunch of goat cheese and savory treats. They also do dinner, but you have to book in advance.

Love this post (and all your others!). My daughter will be starting college in Portland Oregon this fall and I’m hoping you could do a post on the Pacific Northwest, particularly Portland and the Oregon coast. I’d love your recommendations. They are always so spot on. We followed many of your recos when we were touring the country this year looking at schools. Thank you so much - your Substack is by far the best!

Hi, I am going to Isreal for a week in January. Where else should I go in addition to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem? Any shopping or food recommendations?

I love this part of California and visit often! Thank you for sharing all your favorite stops. I also love Point Reyes to Mendocino as a road trip. I saw this posted on Instagram and wanted to know where the last photo on the Instagram post was taken? What beach is it?

i looked into Lucia Lodge, and their restaurant and store burned down in the fire. So no food avail except a grab and go set up, until they rebuild. I now have a great excuse to go to Post Ranch.
