Dispatch from Paris: The most charming new hotel, a fabric store we’d fly there for and other finds in less-touristy neighborhoods, plus the experts explain WTF with the Delta (dis)loyalty situation
Loved this story more than most - if only because my daughter also moved to Paris and also lives in the 10th in a 6 storey walk up. It's hard to be so faraway from her - I'm in Canada...but it is the coolest neighborhood...I wish I lived there too! Gratitude from a former travel writer...
Paris is always a good idea ❤️ Thanks so much for sharing about Delta, I was mad at them too...I was so loyal to them over the past 20 years and their crappy planes ✈️ I personally won’t change my life because of their changes, they still have the best direct flights, have been punctual, service improved immensely...I think the worst change is the restrictions on lounge access, it has significantly reduced my stress levels while traveling, it has been more about my wellbeing than luxury...they have the money, they should just expand them or add more, to welcome more people, as a result we may see more private lounges popping up...at the end of the day, Delta will lose money, there are no strings attached anymore, no candy for good behavior, and no warm welcome for customers...
Bonjour! We just returned from our month long trip to France. We spent a Week in Paris. We loved the Hotel Regent in the Latin Quarter. Enjoyed reading about your experiences. Loved the museums, the food, the architecture - but the frenetic pace / energy... We loved the small towns of Provence. L'isle sur de Sorgue has stolen our hearts! Pop over to my page and check out the Postcards from Paris & France. Thank you for your story.
Hi Yolanda I am a Creative Director in SF and Matt and I used to shoot a lot of brand and campaign work for SONY many moons ago. My wife, Kate, and I meet you over lunch at Keen's awhile back as well. I am planning on dropping in for the book event on Friday, Oct. 20 at Tailor's Keep. Any other details for that evening's event? Say hi to Matt. See you soon.
I will definitely come by your DC gig but will have to duck out for bridge at the Metropolitan Club. If you would like to come for a drink at the club after your book event, we'd be delighted to host you! We owe you!

Hope to meet you when you’re at Sid’s in Atlanta. Come by Dixon Rye across the street and say hello.
Love all of your inside tips- I am a happy subscriber! Do you have a list for Stockholm? I am going in May. Cheers!

Thanks for including my guide! Would go back to that area in a heartbeat, I hope Clara settles in smoothly and enjoys it too!
loved the update as it makes me want to get to Paris immediately.
The Sid Mashburn boook signing this week was packed, well done.
