Incredible roundup as always. That Bar Panisse detail is gold, been wanting a proper Chez Panisse experience but always get waitlisted. The pewter bar and wainscoting alone make it worth the trip, and finally having access to their kitchen withou the insane reservation presure is huge.
hot tip from a local/friend of some former chez employees - eat in their upstairs cafe sometime if you can't get a downstairs dinner reservation! same kitchen and amazing food at a more accessible price point and more reservations. bar panisse has an amazing shrubs drink too!
